Taste Note: At first sight, the intense golden color promises round generosity. It has notes of nougat, frangipane, pastry, tarte tatin, and plenty of citrus with a beautiful finish on pink grapefruit skin.
Winemaking Process: Immediately following the harvest, the grapes are pressed close to Krug’s plots, with this first grape juice kept for 24 hours in a vat in preparation for the fermentation stage. For fifteen days, each cask is topped up with wine from the same plot.
Sommelier Advice: Good service with pork, rich fish such as salmon or tuna, shellfish, and mild and soft cheese.
