Taste Note: A nice and intense violin-ruby red robe, which is typical of a strong concentration. The nose is expressive, fruity, and very pleasing with ripe/jammy fruits and blond tobacco notes. In the mouth, sweet attack with dominant fresh, steady ruby robe. Vivid Nose of fruits (cherries) and spices. The mouth is forward, frank, with notes of blackcurrant and soft spices, and has a luscious body.
Winemaking Process: Grapes harvested in late September, completely de-stemmed (not crushed). Long Vatting for 3 to 5 weeks according to the plots. The aging is done in French oak barrels. 30% of new barrels, 70% of 1-year-old barrels.
Sommelier Advice: Best served at 18°C, and put in decanter 3 hours before tasting. Great companion for a beef rib or game.
