Description

Brand: Villa Trasqua
Origin: Italy
Grape: Sangiovese, Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Alicante Bouschet
Taste Note: This wine displays a vibrant ruby-red color with subtle garnet highlights. Its aroma bursts with ripe black cherry and cassis, accented by vanilla, clove, and a touch of cinnamon. Notes of milk chocolate and roasted coffee enrich the profile, while refined tannins lend a balanced structure. The finish lingers with savory citrus zest, morello cherry, and sweet licorice.
Winemaking Process: Hand-harvested grapes, fermented in 5,000 L truncated wooden vats at 26–28 °C, with maceration for 22–25 days. Aged 24 months in large Slavonian oak barrels (5,000 L) and refined for at least 12 months in bottle before release.
Sommelier Advice: Best served at 16–18 °C in a Bordeaux glass. Perfect with lasagne, pasta with game sauces, roasted lamb, or aged Pecorino cheese. Can be cellared for 10–15 years.
