" Le Nid - meaning "The Nest" - symbolizes unity and a passion for preserving the land. Paul and Danielle Lardet, along with their three children, have lovingly reimagined traditional practices with respect for nature. Every step, from hand-tending vines to oak barrel aging, reflects their values of Family, Terroir, Hedonism, and Authenticity. "
Nestled in the heart of Beaujolais, Le Nid Winery crafts exceptional wines that embody the essence of the Moulin-à-Vent terroir – revered as the “Lord of Beaujolais Crus.” Since 1924, this appellation has produced wines celebrated for their floral, fruity elegance and robust, full-bodied character, showcasing remarkable structure and aging potential. The secret lies in the vineyard’s soil: a unique blend of sandstone, pink granite fragments, and manganese, which deepens the tannins and creates a distinctive identity. Paired with the heritage Gamay Noir grape, this alchemy yields wines of rich red hues and complex flavors, often rivaling their Burgundian counterparts. Through reasoned farming and a commitment to biodiversity, Le Nid offers wines that tell a story – of history, craftsmanship, and a deep connection to the land.
