Cloudy Bay is one of the first wineries in Marlborough and appropriately named after Captain James Cook’s 1770 observance of a flood that caused the bay to become clouded with sediment. Cloudy Bay was acquired by Veuve Cliquot in 2003 and now is part of the LVMH portfolio. Quality is their obsession, their hallmark, and their promise.
