Domaine François Crochet, France. Just a few kilometres to the west of the town of Sancerre, and just a little to the south, lies the tiny commune of Bué. François took over his father’s winery not too long ago. He is one of the first to pick in Sancerre so the acidity of his wines rage. Francois Crochet’s wine doesn’t have the green pepper notes that one would expect from wines harvested so early and have such a perfect balance of power, beauty and finesse.
